Chances are that most of us today are leading very busy lives. We spend our days tackling our to-do-lists, and sometimes it seems as though we can’t make a dent on those lists! Amidst the mayhem, it’s easy to forget or not have the time to sit down and write out those Thank You cards for your child’s birthdaybaptism, or your baby shower. Friends and family take out the time to be a part of our special events though, so it’s important that we make the time to express our gratitude. Although hand written thank you notes are always a special treat to receive, I think nowadays people understand life’s hectic pace and appreciate other forms of thank you.

Email is the modern day’s letter, so send your guests an email thanking them for attending.     E-cards are also a nice gesture and only take a minute to send. If you want to add a more personal touch, record your child thanking everyone. It doesn’t have to be a big production; you can do it straight from your phone if you have a video camera on it. People will love to see your little one expressing their gratitude!

Check out our Facebook page to see the responses we received when we posed this question:
“Do you think it's rude Not to send out Thank You Cards after a birthday party, baby shower, baptism, bridal shower, wedding etc.? Or is it not expected nowadays b/c of everyone's busy life? Let us know!”
